Content and Administration of Event Posts
The Expats Club events are organised by our local community managers on a purely voluntary basis. The Expats Club only provides the infrastructure for our members to organise events. The community managers do not represent The Expats Club as vicarious agents. Events that could be considered discriminatory, intolerant, or sexual in nature are not permitted.
Conduct at our Events
Our events are open to all members and their guests but only when they have registered to attend. Sometimes we have closed guest lists due to limited space or registration deadlines or when events are organised exclusively for Ambassador Members, New members and/or exclusively for Expats.
While we do our best to provide an enjoyable experience for everyone, The Expats Club assumes no liability for anything that happens at an event posted on our platform or hosted by our Community Managers. We do not accept any legal responsibility for damages resulting from the gross negligence of the venues which host these events or professional providers of travel, hiking, cruise etc. services. Furthermore, neither The Expats Club nor the community manager of this event shall assume liability for any loss of personal property. We shall also not be held responsible in the event of financial, physical, or emotional damage. Every member is an adult and expected to exercise due diligence at these events.
The Expats Club reserves the right to collect a cover charge at events in order to finance setup and infrastructure costs, to compensate for expenses incurred by community managers (e.g. fees for printing name tags and leaflets) or as may be required by the location (e.g. money to hire a DJ exclusively for the evening). Ambassador Members usually enjoy free or reduced price entry to The Expats Club events.
Any members behaving in an inappropriate manner at an event are subject to expulsion from the Expats Club platform and will be reported to the local crime officials.
By accepting an event invitation, the user acknowledges the right of The Expats Club to publish any photographs or film footage taken at the event on the Expats Club website and/or on any platform approved by the Expats Club. Should the user wish to refuse the same, the user must clearly express this wish to the photographer or cameraman at the event. Should the user wish to have the Expats Club remove a photograph already published on the website, the user must contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Expats Club is a private network that provides its members with a platform to interact with each other. Everyone is free to join and free to choose his or her level of membership. Members of The Expats Club have agreed to adhere to our General Terms and Conditions and to respect our standards of conduct.
